Who are we?

Lee’s World of Wood is a traditional family business, established for over twenty years. Located in Newark and Sherwood, the heart of rural Nottinghamshire, our geographically central position enables us to easily supply any area of the country

What do we do?

We manufacture bespoke furniture and mirrors in a range of traditional soft and hardwood timbers at exceptionally good prices. In addition to our ‘stock’ designs we can design and make one off pieces to your individual requirements. All our furniture is available in a range of woods and finishes: From traditional hand waxed, rustic, reclaimed and ‘burnt’ finishes to more contemporary lacquers. In addition we can supply coloured paint finishes matched to your individual décor.

How do we do it?

Each piece is hand crafted and finished to your individual specification. Our furniture products include: beds, dining tables, occasional tables, wardrobes, chest of drawers, bookcases, storage chests, and doors. All in a variety of traditional, and contemporary styles. Our greatest assets are our craftsmen and their skills, if we don’t already make it, tell us what you want and we will design and make it for you.On non-stock items we will be pleased to quote for any item of furniture you require. You will be pleasantly surprised at just how reasonable our prices are. Contact your local supplier for further details.

Where is the wood from?

All our timber is sourced from renewable supplies and we take our environmental responsibilities seriously: the off-cuts from our crafting processes are recycled to power our workshop heating thus reducing our costs, carbon footprint, (and of course helping us to keep our prices low!) Our timbers include Walnut, Oak, Beech, Maple, Pine, and reclaimed woods. Other fine woods are available to order.

Why us?

Every item of furniture we sell is individually handcrafted in our workshop. We do not sell production line stock furniture. When your order is placed we make the piece individually for you with care and craftsmanship. On placing the order with your supplier we will quote a delivery time for you, and whilst this will not be ‘next day delivery’ your order will be quickly and efficiently despatched to your retailer. When you receive your order I am sure that you will agree it was worth waiting for.
